Once home to the Commercial Bank of Scotland this impressive Graeco-Roman building is now a popular bar and restaurant in the centre of Edinburgh. Located on George Street in the new town of Edinburgh it is worth a visit to the building alone. Now a Category A listed building The Dome has a breath-taking interior with high intricate ceilings, stained glass windows, elegant chandeliers and plush furnishings.
Once inside, the Dome is split into several rooms with the Grill Room, the Club Room, Conference Suites, the Georgian Tea Room, the Green Room and the Garden Café which is open in the summer months. There is a great cocktail menu which is perfect for a pick me up after a busy afternoon exploring the city or you can even treat yourself to a scrumptious afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, scones and cakes. The Dome also has an extensive lunch and dinner menu and is a great place to dine for a treat or special occasion.
