Golf In Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a popular destination for golfers and as it is surrounded by top golf courses it is easy to see why. Edinburgh benefits from being in a fantastic location and it is only a short drive to the Scottish countryside.

Some of the best golf courses in Scotland surround Edinburgh including the acclaimed Muirfield which was home to the 2012 Open Championship. Set in a stunning seafront location, historic Murifield has seen top golfers from all over the world compete on the classic course.

Royal Musselburgh is a little closer to the city and the fifth oldest golf club in the world. This picturesque parkland course was designed by the famous Open champion and golf architect James Braid.

Closer to the city centre you will find Briad Hills, Royal Burgess, Duddingston and Bruntsfield Links. Some of these even include picturesque views of Edinburgh Castle and Arthur’s seat.
