The V&A is one of the most famous museums situated in the centre. Famous for their incredibly large collection of artefacts - with over 233,742 objects ranging from drawings, photographs, clothes and many more, the V&A is the biggest museum of history and culture in London.

A couple of sections to look out for are the fashion and jewellery galleries, as these tend to change regularly and have more objects introduced each year, with special collections on show too.

The Tower of London is a truly iconic building, dating back to 1078 when it was known as the White Tower. Built by William the Conqueror, the tower represented a symbol of oppression and a new ruling.

Furthermore, the night tubes of Victoria, Central, Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly all run 24 hours a day, meaning if you’re having a late-night with some friends, getting back to your serviced accommodation in London won’t be a problem. 

River transport  

Along with the option of taking the tube, you have the option to relax and enjoy the view on London’s river buses. With 22 piers around the city and the option to use your Oyster card to travel, the river buses are just as easy to use as the underground. 

Buses

With a typical bus fare only costing £1.50 and the maximum bus travel in one day totalling £4.50, this is the cheapest travel to use for all the family. Once tapping onto a bus you can use any amount of buses as you want in that hour for no extra cost. 

Driving

London traffic can get quite busy but it is possible to drive to, and around the city. There are lots of places you can hire vehicles for as it is quite straightforward as long as you have a valid driving licence. If you do plan on driving to London or hiring a car we would recommend looking into the London Congestion charge.
