Taking place on the 17th March, in Dublin, St Patrick's Day is not just a day of celebrations but often a whole weekend! 

St Patrick was the patron saint of Ireland and he is commemorated on the 17th March every year with a religious and cultural holiday. In Ireland, St Patrick's Day is a public holiday but the event is now often celebrated across the world. Dublin has to be the ultimate place to celebrate St Patrick's Day with five days of events planned to mark the occasion and an excuse to celebrate all things, Irish.

Highlights of St Patrick’s festival include the 'greening of the city' where several key buildings will be transformed to glow the iconic Irish green. The Irish craft beer and food market where you can sample lots of classic Irish treats such as Irish ales, Guinness, Whiskey and artisan produce. An abundance of street entertainers and performers and of course the St Patrick's Festival Parade which takes place on the big day itself. The parade sees dancers, floats and bands from all over the world come together and march through the streets of Dublin from Parnell Square, to St Patrick's Cathedral.
