Brighton Pier

Making up the iconic shoreline of England’s most loved seaside town, Brighton Pier has stood tall looking out to sea since 1823.  Formally known as The Palace Pier, the Victorian structure is one of Brighton’s most treasured landmarks, seeing over 4 million visitors each year.Jetting out into the English Channel at 1,772ft long, the pier is affectionately known as the ‘finest Pier ever built’.  

Today, visitors enjoy Brighton Pier’s nostalgic fairground charm, with classic rides to be enjoyed by all the family.  Everything you could expect to see at a seaside fairground, Brighton Pier has it covered from The Dodgems, The Waltzer and Ghost Train, to the Carousel, Cup and Saucer and Helter Skelter.For the brave, Brighton Pier offers a number of white knuckle rides.  

See Brighton from a whole new viewpoint as you are whisked into the air, spun upside down, accelerated to a force of over 3.6G’s and plunged towards to the sea!  With names like Turbo Coaster, Twister, Air Race and Wild River, thrill seekers are well and truly in for a treat -but don’t underestimate the Crazy Mouse!To bring the heart rate down, visitors can practice their skills at one of many traditional side stalls.  ‘Hook a Duck’ and ‘Tin Can Alley’ remain top favourites, alongside the ‘Dolphin Derby’ and ‘Rodeo Bull.’

For those who prefer a thrill a little closer to the ground, Brighton Pier has two action packed amusement arcades, with the latest video games and simulators.  Gamers can battle it out on popular favourites like Guitar Hero and old school classics like Pacman to make it onto the Pier’s high scores board.

A hive of thrills, laughter and fairground fun, Brighton Pier is also a great place to simply stroll along and soak up the atmosphere with a portion of fish and chips.  Visitors can enjoy a drink in one of the pier’s three bars, choose from a multitude of sweet and savoury food kiosks, and browse the souvenir shops for a memento to take home.
