When is the best time of the year to visit Thailand?

Thailand has a tropical climate and therefore doesn’t see a huge variation in temperature throughout the year, but it does have two seasons – warm and wet, or cooler and dry. However, it’s important to highlight that its weather varies according to what part of the country you are visiting, especially in the south. So it’s always worth checking with a more specific destination within Thailand in mind.

Generally speaking, the best time of the year to visit is November to February when temperatures are cooler and pleasant, but still warm. The hottest months of the year run in between April and June, but from May to early October it’s also monsoon season and Thailand receives a major part of its annual rainfall within a short time window. 

It’s worth checking the weather for the particular cities you are intending to visit prior to travel, as it varies in between the north and south, as well as east and west coast.
